Hello, I’m Tracey Derrick, a qualified counsellor and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I hold a BA (Hons) in Counselling and Working with Children and Young People, as well as a Postgraduate Certificate in Counselling Children and Young People. My background includes specialist work in children’s mental health, addiction recovery, and family support.
I work with adults, young people, and families, offering compassionate, client-centred therapy tailored to each person’s unique needs. I believe therapy should be accessible to everyone—whatever your age, background, or circumstance.
At the heart of my approach is a deep respect for each person’s inner resilience. I offer a calm, non-judgemental space where you can explore what’s going on for you, at your own pace. My work is integrative, drawing from a range of approaches including CBT, and always focused on what feels most helpful to you.

Using evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), we’ll work collaboratively to understand the patterns behind your anxiety and develop practical, personalised strategies to help you manage it more effectively.
Depression can leave you feeling disconnected, low, and as though even simple tasks take immense effort. You don’t have to face this alone. Through a compassionate, tailored approach—including evidence-based therapies we can work together to explore what’s contributing to how you’re feeling, and begin to build a sense of hope and direction again.

We offer a variety of counselling services to meet the unique needs of our clients, including individual therapy, family counselling, and children and young people support. We also offer specialised services for issues such as addiction, anger management, and grief and loss.
We place a strong emphasis on building a trusting, supportive relationship, where you feel safe to explore whatever you’re facing. My approach is client-centred and collaborative—meaning we’ll work together to understand what matters most to you and shape the therapy around your unique goals, needs, and pace.
